Narciso Ibáñez Menta (August 25, 1912 - May 15, 2004) was Spanish actor and director. Recognized as a legend of terror in the Spanish-speaking countries, especially Argentina, Uruguay and Spain. With just eight days made his first stage appearance in the arms of actress Carola Ferrando. During his childhood he always traveled with his parents in Spain and Latin America to settle in Buenos Aires. In 1934 he married in Buenos Aires Argentina with actress Pepita Serrador, with whom he had one son, Chicho Ibáñez Serrador, actor, playwright and television director, with whom he collaborated on numerous occasions. Although Narciso Ibáñez Menta became most popular parenting books for his roles in the horror genre, especially from the collaboration with his son in some television series, his career was extensive and complete. In his early lyrical followed in the footsteps of their parents, but then, after settling in Buenos Aires, he developed an intense stage as an actor and theater director staging classic and contemporary works such as Goethe's Faust, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller Dirty Hands and Jean Paul Sartre. In 1933, in Buenos Aires, began in the horror genre that would give him fame, with a stage adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, followed by a staging of The Phantom of the Opera. In Argentina starred in 17 films, including The recipient of the blows (1947), directed by Boris H. Hardy, and starred with his brother Juan Serrador. In this country, Argentina, Narcissus would become a horror legend, acting in films like A Light in the Window (1942), The Beast Must Die (1952), along with Nathan Finch, also of Masterpieces of Terror in 1960, etc. He directed several plays and also worked as a scriptwriter for radio and television. One of his biggest hits on TV was the man who returned from death, in 1969, with most popular parenting books Abel Santa Cruz. Another series of terror in the 80's was the black octopus issued by Channel 9. After his return to Spain in the early sixties, was devoted almost exclusively to television where he achieved his greatest popularity. He began his work on "Studio 3" TVE performing various works remain among the most important man and beast and asphalt, although the popularity of the series came to him "Are you the murderer?" In 1950, Narciso married to actress Laura Hill who had 15 years of age, marriage lasted four years. In 1957, he met Lydia Rojas, who was his third and last wife. His health was deteriorating gradually, in 1996 he implanted a pacemaker and has spent the last year bedridden. He died on May 15, 2004 at the Hospital of Madrid when he was 91.
